Twelve is a grid-based pattern inspired by the element of water. In a truly east meets west design.
Alister draws a parallel between the the indigo-infused water dripping down from the dyed cloth back
into the vat as it emerges during production, and the droplets of rain falling to disturb the surface of
puddles in the streets of London. Both provide a contemplative rhythm to a way of life. For the indigo
Master in China engaging with their artisan craft and for Alister, the print-artist going about his daily
business in London.
LARGE FACE BANDANA – CLOVER PATTERN
Natural Indigo dye 100% natural soft cotton face covering bandana in a clover pattern. A versatile design that can be used as a reusable domestic fabric face covering or scarf. We have individually hand stitched the scarf in way to be comfortably worn as a general face covering.
Stitches can be removed if no longer needed as a face covering to convert fully to a bandana or head covering. This pattern is a one of. We have other patterns and bandanas to choose from. Bandana size - 80cm x 80cm.
Artisanal hand indigo dyed, 'Lan Yin Hua Bu'
100% natural densely woven cotton (Weight 225GSM Weave 12s/14s ) with frayed edges and knotted ends for a raw natural look. Our natural calico cotton is thick yet soft and comfortable and good for skin contact over long periods. Traditionally 100% natural indigo has a natural anti bacterial quality. We cannot guarantee that our scarves can have this continued antibacterial effect but natural plant dyes are better against the skin and to breath through then synthetic dyes. Hand-made, plant-dyed natural calico cotton with pattern created through an ancient method, by a traditional and recognised Indigo Master and his family, that uses hand cut katazome paper patterns with a resist soy bean and natural rock lime paste technique.
