The industrial setting of the Truman Brewery and works displayed by the artisans sharing the stand complimented the artisanal indigo textiles. Showing for the first time at the London Design Fair, visitors showed great interest how it was made but mostly they were drawn to the rich indigo colour and never seen before patterns. BLUEHANDED specially upholstered a vintage mid century modern wingback chair using the indigo phoenix and peony pattern. Also displayed were cushions, bedspreads, scarves and fabric by the metre. London artist, Alex McKenzie’s bespoke patterns were also on display.
