Lucky Characters is a repeat geometric print that is at once both modern and traditional, eastern and western.\u00a0 Each round symbol is a stylised Chinese character that means good luck.\u00a0 From the distance the design looks like repeating dots but up close the intricacy and detail of the different characters becomes subtly evident.<\/p>\n

About BlueHanded<\/span><\/p>\n Working with London-based artists, specially selected for their artistic<\/p>\n endeavour and signature style, our fabrics uniquely reinterpret and revere the age-old art of indigo.<\/p>\n Create a striking scheme by combining fabrics, or savour individual prints as feature accents; for<\/p>\n window treatments, home furnishings, upholstery and accessories.<\/p>\n Indigoists appreciate the slight ‘wabi sabi’ imperfections of this 100% natural cotton material. Unlike other inferior<\/p>\n indigo dyes, our indigo is of very high quality. Our textiles are dyed in 25 year old vats that have<\/p>\n been in continuous use so the dye is more stable and consistent in colour then most artisanal<\/p>\n natural plant dyeing.<\/p>\n Traditional Chinese indigo dying techniques are a millennia old, rich in colour and history.<\/p>\n Natural indigo dye is a deep iridescent blue that subtly and uniquely fades, enriching its personal<\/p>\n character. For upholstery where used for direct seating we will prewash the fabric and suggest<\/p>\n stain guarding it. The fabric is rated severe contract for colourfastness to light (BS EN ISO 105-<\/p>\n BO2:2014 Method 3) and general domestic for abrasion (BS EN SIO 12947-2: 2016). SGS test available upon<\/p>\n request. Calico cotton thread count is 106.<\/p>\n Like denim, before using with light colours it is recommended to have the fabric pre-washed & stain<\/p>\n guarded. General care: Gentle detergent, cold or lukewarm wash and shady line dry. Do not tumble dry.<\/p>\n Wash & use with other dark colours. Dry clean not recommended. Do not bleach.
