"Twelve" is inspired by water, the design is grid-based, with concentric circles which undulate, land and radiate out - like droplets hitting a surface. Hand dyed natural indigo. 100% cotton.

Hand-made, plant-dyed natural calico cotton with the pattern created through an ancient method that uses hand cut patterns with a resist soy bean and lime paste technique. Because the deep rich blue of this artisanal hand dyed indigo, this piece will naturally age like denim, adding character. We recommend washing before use to remove any excess indigo dye. Wash with cold water and a light detergent before line drying. Do not bleach.Order

Twelve is a grid-based pattern inspired by the element of water. In a truly east meets west design.
Alister draws a parallel between the the indigo-infused water dripping down from the dyed cloth back
into the vat as it emerges during production, and the droplets of rain falling to disturb the surface of
puddles in the streets of London. Both provide a contemplative rhythm to a way of life. For the indigo
